What activities are you involved in?
Kennan Lewis: SGA president. I run track – pole vault. Historical Society, Beta Club, Mustang Aeronautics president, the Society of Mad Scientists vice president, CEO of Robotics (team).
What honors have you received?
KL: Valedictorian, Most Likely to Succeed, Good Citizenship, Boys State.
Lewis was also the LeCroy Career/Tech Student of the Year (Building and Construction), National Youth Camp Representative, track captain, Drama Club and FFA.
What are your plans after graduation?
KL: I’m going to attend Marion Military Institute. I’m trying to get into the Air Force Academy or the Coast Guard Academy. I’d like to get an engineering degree (in) materials.
What is your favorite memory from high school?
KL: I guess just my friends.
Will you remember anything specific about what you did together?
KL: I’ll remember the spring play.
Who are your mentors?
KL: Coach (Jay) LeCroy was definitely one of them. I’d say my PawPaw, Jimmy Lewis.
What advice would you give to younger students?
KL: Start early looking for colleges.
